The Asylum Lake Preserve at Western Michigan University supports multiple habitat types: oak savanna, prairie, forest, wet meadow, emergent marsh, shrub carr and two lakes. Asylum Lake Preserve one of the last remaining open spaces in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
